A320 Project - Construction Progress

Well .... it's been a busy weekend.
I now have all the panels done in Illustrator and I'm very happy with them. I had to guess the colour, but it seems to be pretty close. The colour I ended up with is

C - 30%
M - 0%
Y - 10%
K - 60%

I took a sample printed on paper to Bunnings and they matched it quite easily. It looks lighter in the photos, but I think it's the flash.

I got all the panels cut to size from MDF at Bunnings. They could only cut them square, so I had to cut the offsets with a table saw, but it went smoothly.

Next, I added the wooden supports. I felt that these things will end up with 7 monitors on top, so they better be strong.

Assembly was straightforward. I have built the Captain's and FO's frame. They have a back and a sloping shelf to support the monitor.

I have tacked on the panel front.

Both forward panels :o)

Phew!!!! Still got the centre frame to build. Then we're moving on to the Pedestal.
